FamilyForward seeks a Chief Development Ocer (CDO) to lead fundraising eorts, foster a culture of philanthropy, and contribute to the organization’s strategic vision. FamilyForward is a leading nonprofit in Missouri, dedicated to transforming the lives of children and families aected by trauma. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement fundraising strategies to exceed revenue goals

  • Build and nurture relationships with diverse donors and stakeholders

  • Oversee grant proposals and fundraising campaigns, including major gifts and planned giving

  • Lead marketing and communications efforts to raise awareness and enhance the agency’s brand

  • Serve as a key member of the executive team, providing strategic direction and compliance oversight

  • Trust and develop a development team of 10

  • Manage up to a seasoned CEO excited to partner with her CDO on fundraising strategy and implementation

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or Business

  • 7+ years of successful fundraising experience

  • Member of AFP St. Louis, or willingness to become a member; CFRE a plus

  • Strong networking, advocacy, and relationship-building skills

  • An ability to build a team and a strategy for development that encompasses the entire organization

  • Commitment to DEIB and community-centric fundraising practices

Salary & Benefits

  • Starting salary of $125,000 - $140,000
