EXPLORE Career Immersion Program

EXPLORE is a free career immersion program for Greater St. Louis Area high school students of color which connects students to industry leaders in the region. Students learn about potential career paths, hear personal stories from professional mentors, develop essential career-building skills to help them succeed, build relationships that can lead to future internships, and understand why diversity and inclusion are important in the workplace.

Our 2024 EXPLORE program included Alternative Careers in Law with Thompson Coburn, Baseball with the St. Louis Cardinals, Bioscience with MilliporeSigma, the U.S. and Canada Life Science business of Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany, Engine-uity with Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Missouri, Healthcare with Centene, Law with Husch Blackwell, PAWSibilities with Nestlé Purina PetCare Company, and Supply Chain with Dot Foods.

Give Respect, Get Respect.

Give Respect, Get Respect is a free five-session anti-bias program that takes place throughout a typical academic calendar year. The program connects middle and high school students, school administrators, and associates from local businesses in an effort to address diversity and encourage respect and acceptance among peers/co-workers. Each session is designed with a specific focus on developing deeper understanding and dialogue around race, religion & beliefs, sexual orientation, gender, and ability status.

GRGR gives students the tools to become inclusive leaders within their schools and helps break down walls that separate students from each other. Students grow by interacting with one another, learning more about different communities and identities, and bridging divides through awareness and education.

Thank you to our 2023-2024 program partner, the Saint Louis Zoo and Missouri Botanical Garden.

Dates for the 2024-2025 school year program have not yet been announced. Check back here for updates.
